A 27-year-old female from Interland in KwaThema alleges that on Thursday 2021-03-25 at about 18:30 she came across a male whom she had a fling with sometime in 2020 along Tolashe Street (Rest in Peace) in Kwa-Thema.
She alleges that she didn’t know his name or physical address. She further alleged that he dragged her to a house in KwaThema Ext 3 where he then forcefully had sex with her.
Constable Magudulela told Ekurhuleni News that, “The victim managed to leave the house where the incident took place and went home. On Friday 2021-03-26 she went to Kwa-Thema SAPS to report the incident. She along with the police went to the alleged crime scene and she pointed out a house along Malika Street in Kwa-Thema Ext 3 as the house she was dragged to by the alleged assailant. However, the suspect was not at home and could not be found.”
Magudulela adds that “The police along with the victim left and headed back to the police station. On the way back to the police station the victim saw the suspect driving a blue motor vehicle and pointed him out to the police. The vehicle was stopped by the police and the suspect was informed about the allegations made against him and was arrested and detained.”
The suspect is expected to appear in front of the Kwa-Thema Magistrate’s Court during the course of the week.
