Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 Tierney Fellowship at the Market Photo Workshop.

The Market Photo Workshop in partnership with The Tierney Family Foundation have over the last 16 years established and sustained the longest running photography mentorship of its kind in Africa. The artistic mentorship has assisted in creating opportunities for photographers to cultivate the development of their practice.

The City of Johannesburg Urges Pensioners to Reapply For Property Rates Rebates

The City has issued a call to all pensioners who own residential properties, urging them to apply or reapply for pensioner rebate benefits by Saturday, 30 September. The current benefits will expire on Friday, 30 June. Pensioners have an excellent opportunity to benefit from the recently approved property rates, as the City has approved a mere 2% increase in property rates. The implementation of these new tariffs will take effect on Saturday, 1 July.

Zambia Airways Launches a Lusaka to Johannesburg Route

Zambia Airways officially launched a Lusaka to Johannesburg route on 1 June 2023. The route will rotate twice daily, seven days a week.

This initiative allows for greater market access to support growth and competition through focused demand stimulation and supports the following strategic goals: promotion of trade and tourism; increase the contribution to accelerated economic growth; increase the mobility of the regional market, promotion of a sustainable aviation industry; and environmental responsibility.
