The highly anticipated live music event, offering an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts, Cork and Strings will bring yet another episode of good music to the community of Daveyton on the 24th of September 2023.
Corks and Strings on a Sunday is a soulful event that grooms the raw talent of local musicians and gives artists a platform to showcase their talents.
Sithembiso Gama, founder of Cork and Strings on Sunday mentioned that this event it’s all about providing people with live music performances.
“We want to go back to the root of live performances where people will mingle, associate, and have a good time with their friends while exposing closed talents,” said Gama.
“All we wanted to do was to expose talents that are hidden in the townships, you will find that there are a lot of people who are talented but do not have the platform to expose themselves.”
He further said Corks and Strings is all about that, improving the lives of artists.
“We are currently building Corks and Strings studio that will enable artists to record their music after performances as a way of showing appreciation and encouragement,” he said.
Tshwarelo Sehloho encourages the community to come and see the beauty of the Cork and Strings event and what it has to offer.
“It is one great event that one shouldn’t miss. We get to enjoy the live performances from the artists and it is actually a great space to interact or mingle with friends,” she said.
“We still believe that there are people who are still longing for live bands and singing along concerts so we are here to provide that seeing that everything now is all about Amapiano”.
Cork and Strings is not only about music but also has a heart of giving back to the community.
“We are looking for sponsors to sponsor our drive to help assist different learners from different schools both boys and girls. The donations will go towards providing school shoes to all the children in need and sanitary pads for girls from different schools. Your support will be highly appreciated,” added Sehloho.
