Residents in Dukathole and nearby areas are informed that the Dukathole Clinic is temporary closed to allow the South African Police Service (SAPS) to conduct investigations at the facility following a robbery that took place last night Wednesday, 21 April.
Reacting to the news of the robbery that was reported earlier this morning, Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Health and Social Development Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi called on the public to report any criminal activities to the police.
“As a City we strongly condemn such barbaric behaviour and call on the community to come forward and report these criminals, as they may live amongst us.
It is very regrettable and sad that this happens at a time when primary healthcare is more in demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said MMC Nkosi.
The MMC noted that the robbery had affected the residents and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Residents will be informed when services resume at the clinic.
