The owner and founder of Legends Barbershop Sheldon Tatchell with Ashley (the franchise owner) on Saturday 09 July 2022, opened yet another branch in one of the biggest top 10 malls in the country, Eastgate mall which marks it as the 67th store.
The legends barbershop has over 65 stores in Southern Africa with their footprint spanning Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, and Zambia and they are excited to expand further into Africa.
As the leading barbershop in South Africa rated by the African hair Awards Council, it provides professional grooming as the barbers are trained to give extraordinary service, quality haircuts, and superb advice with their products on how to maintain hair.
‘’Eastgate mall is very special to me because this is the mall where I got my first job as a packer so there is some sentimental thing behind this store opening in this mall, I feel very excited about this opening with Ashley as I worked closely with him, and I must say I am proud and honoured to witness the wonderful work he has done,’’ Sheldon Tatchell said.
Ashley also expressed how proud and excited he is,’’ having to launch a store in one of the top 10 malls in the country feels exciting and what I love about Eastgate more specifically is that the centre management is helpful and supportive, which makes us want to give our best as well with regards to giving back and making sure that we as Legendary give our best services’’
Kenny, Marvellous Ximba, Banele Ncube, one of the first 50 customers to get a free haircut and used to get their haircut at the local township salons said that they are glad that finally there is a Legends Barbershop near them, so it is convenient and easily accessible. It has always been their wish to get that ‘Legendary haircut’ from one of the best barbershops in South Africa.
One of the regulars’, Itumeleng who always gets her haircut at the legendary barbershop also came through for the new launch at Eastgate and said, ‘’ I am super excited to be here as I have always been happy with the best premium service I get from previous stores, the barbers will leave you feeling confident, fresh, and ready to overcome whatever’’.
Junior who is one of the best barbers recommended by Itumeleng expressed how privileged and esteemed he is to be one of those barbers given an opportunity to be trained & groomed so that he can be the best barber that he is today,” it feels good to give someone that haircut and leave them happy as it also boosts my confidence to improve.”
With their primary focus being on the Youth, Sheldon and Ashley advised the youth of today who someday wish to see themselves owning their own ‘Legends Barbershop’ that they should follow their dreams and be committed to what they start.
