Four unlicensed taverns were shut down within the area of Kempton park
On Friday 25 November 2022, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) By-laws Unit officers conducted a festive season liquor outlet operation, between 4:00 p.m. and midnight, in the Kempton Park area.
The officers raided nine (9) liquor outlets and shut down four (4) unlicensed taverns. A total of sixty-eight (68) units of various liquor beverages, were confiscated.
The City of Ekurhuleni urges businesses to make sure they have all the necessary documentation, to run their businesses legally and prevent staying on the wrong side of the law, especially during this festive season.
