ActionSA went to the police to open a case against the Fast Gun Gang. This gang made threats on Facebook against Dereleen James and her family. Dereleen James is part of Team Fix South Africa, and she’s been working hard against drugs.
The gang was angry because some of their members got caught by the police in Eldorado Park. They targeted Dereleen and her family, which made her worried for their safety.
Herman Mashaba, the boss of ActionSA, supported Dereleen. He thinks she’s the right person to fight against drugs because of her experience. She’s on important boards and has the support of the community.
Dereleen wrote a letter to her dad, asking for help to stop gang violence. People were upset by her letter and even the former president visited Eldorado Park because of it.
Dereleen started The Yellow Ribbon Foundation to fight against drugs. ActionSA is serious about fighting gangs and drugs. They promise to support the police and take down the gangs.
The government has failed to stop gangs, but ActionSA wants to change that. They believe in Dereleen and will stand by her and her family.
