Rapper and songwriter, HapiVaal, 33, whose real name is Happy Mhlongo has released his latest new single titled “Uthando Luyabiza.”
HapiVaal was born in Daveyton, Gauteng where his love for words started at the age of 12 when he participated in a poetry competition in primary school. He is a lover of words and says his artistic journey is a fantastic blend of words and captivating beats as he demonstrates
in his melodious music.
The versifier says the inspiration behind the song stems from the depths of raw emotions, particularly love and longing. “Through this song, I aim to capture the essence of passion, vulnerability, and the dance of hearts intertwining,” he passionately expresses.
Transitioning from the world of poetry competitions to the realm of hip-hop, HapiVaal reflects on how this fusion shaped his unique style. “This fusion shaped my style, infusing poetic storytelling with the rhythm and energy of hip hop,” he reminisces.
