Integrated Operation Basadi concludes in style

The Integrated Operation Basadi initiated by Nigel and Duduza Saps officers concluded in fine style as it was hosted in Duduza.

The law enforcement partners conducted VCPs and Saturation patrols around the area. This included creating awareness against GBV through engagement with the community.

In celebrating women’s month and women activism programmes, the Saps joined by the Correctional Services, Gauteng Traffic, EMPD, Community Safety and Women who are Safety Promoters, handed out gift packs to women in vehicles and during the search as a gesture and token of appreciation.

In total, about 13 traffic fines were issued out for a number of transgressions to the value of R5800. Three people were arrested for Assault and Housebreaking.

While addressing the off duty parade, the Duduza Saps station Commander Lt Col Bheki Mhlungu thanked the members for the outstanding work and emphasized that operations of this nature should be sustained to enhance the safety of the community especially women and children.

The Deputy Director Ms Nkwanyane from Correctional services also praised the role played by women in law enforcement agencies and encouraged support against GBV.
