Joint venture breeds great results

On Saturday, February 17, 2023, MozDeli restaurant and Naledi Bakeries joined forces to create a memorable experience for the disadvantaged.

Both situated in Daveyton, the companies held their very first food drive to feed the homeless, elders and children in the community.

Speaking to Zama Ngomane the founder of MozDeli Foods, mentioned that the purpose of this drive was to give a meal to the less fortunate and homeless people in the community young and old.

“We accommodated anyone young and old, homeless or senior citizens as long as you wanted a meal we were accommodating you, even school kids came to grab the meal as they were attending their Saturday classes”.

He further said, “As a business owner this has been something that is close to my heart I have always wanted to give back to the community of daveyton where I was raised as a young man by the senior citizens, we can’t sit back seeing the community suffer we also need to contribute positively and this is just the beginning”.

Manager of Naledi Bakeries, Sibusiso Ntombela said his goal was to keep his customers happy all the time.

“The reason for making these kinds of initiatives is to build a good relationship with the community especially those who play a role of being a security at night when we are not at work.”

He further said this is the first drive of many to come.

The food drive received positive feedback from the community it exceeded the expectations that they had as they got a chance to feed everyone who was in need. They catered to over 500 people young and old, and the community was so pleased and grateful to receive.
