The City of Ekurhuleni’s Executive Mayor, Cllr Mzwandile Masina honoured members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) for their long service, commendation, dedication, loyalty to serve and outstanding service.
During the first of a two-day Medal Handing ceremony held at the EMPD Logistics Precinct in Kempton Park on Monday, 21 June 2021, the mayor heaped praises to some of the officers who have diligently served the City, some who have been in the service for 46 years.
“You constantly have to respond to life-threatening situations, and you have served with pride and professionalism. On behalf of the people of Ekurhuleni I thank you,” he said.
Mayor Masina warned the officers against engaging in any form of corruption, which is normally associated with police officers.
Masina will continue to honour the members of the EMPD,
