An ambitious presenter, Andile Nxumalo, known among his audience as “Ben 10”aims to hoist upcoming Maskandi Musicians through his Maskandi show themed” Ezivusa ‘Usinga” on Oana FM 94.0 in Soweto.The Maskandi show presenter residing in Vosloorus Basothong section shared that, “my main goal is to broaden the horizon of Maskandi music, especially aspiring artists to get a platform on my show to showcase their phenomenal musical talents, I picked Maskandi music because I’m familiar with the music genre as I’m from KZN in “Kwa-Nongoma” area and I have seen how most musicians in this music genre fail to get air play and recognition which leads most of them to a devastating turnout of alcoholism, drug abuse and crime.“Therefore my show which is held on Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00noon grants most upcoming musicians on-air interviews and music-play. I started my radio presenting career this year in May 2020, after I attended several educational workshops held by “Snothando” foundation in KZN, ‘Kwa-Nongoma’ from 2016 up until 2018, then I received a media certificate in 2019 which certified me to be a radio presenter, news reader, TV presenter and an actor,” he outlined.“Maskandi Musicians or anyone who is willing to participate in my show on Saturdays should call 072 052 6382 during the show (on-Air).” He concluded.
