Nando’s officially launched its first Casa Quadrado in South Africa at Sam Ntuli Mall, Katlehong on the 08th of May 2023.
Nandos brings flavorful, spicy, and famous meals closer to the people of Katlehong. This new Nandos comes in style, from being a container restaurant to its artsy and creative interior, making it comfortable to enjoy their food and space.
Entrepreneur and Nando’s franchisee Louis Achadinha said they own a couple of restaurants, however, they are new to Nando’s brand.
“We have been with Nando’s for about two to three years. We have other branches in other areas but we are looking into expanding to other areas,” said Achadinha.
This new venture also brought employment opportunities within the community.
“It is good to bring business to the community and create jobs and awareness.”
This also created opportunities for young designers – the patterns painted on the container were designed by Glorinah Khutso Mabaso from Mamelodi, Pretoria.
Speaking to Michelle Van der Merwe, regional marketing manager, she stated that they aim to bring the best food and service to the community and they also going to expand, meaning that more job opportunities will open.
“We appreciate the support from the community and we promise that we will bring them our best service”, she stated.
