On Friday 24 March 2023 between 14:00 and 15:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drugs Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested one male suspect for possible dealing in drugs, and illegal substances were confiscated.
Following a tip-off from concerned members of the community, about individuals selling drugs, officers visited an address on the corner of Guman and Pursad Street in Actonville, where a 34-year-old male suspect was apprehended. After a search of the suspect, fifteen (15) zip lock bags with an estimated street value of two thousand rands (R2000), was found in his possession.
The offender, facing charges of possession of illegal substances and possible dealing, was arrested and taken to Actonville police station and is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
