CHLOORKOP : (434) Four hundred and thirty-four suspects were put behind bars for various cases within Ekurhuleni Policing precincts from Friday 2022-08-26 until 2022 – 08 28.
Some of the suspects were arrested during joined High-density Operations which were conducted by Saps and other law enforcers in the District including the major one in the Vosloorus area.
Four Unlicensed firearms were seized from the wrong hands as follows: -Rabie Ridge – A 9mm Glock with 15 ammunition was recovered by members of Crime Intelligence who acted on a tip-off on Friday night 2022-08-26
– Germiston Saps – A Revolver with one round was recovered by Crime Prevention members who were busy conducting stop and search on Friday 2022-08-26
-Vosloorus Saps – A Revolver, 2 live ammunition and 3 spent cartridges were found at the Crime scene after one of the 3 suspects threatened the driver of the motor vehicle by firing some shots and instructed him to get out of his motor vehicle on Saturday night 202-08-27.
The driver accelerated and drove through the suspect. The suspect fell and the firearm fell next to him. The police were called and the injured suspect was arrested and taken to the Hospital.
-Boksburg North – Two suspects were found with a Revolver and 6 live ammunition during a high-density operation in the area on Saturday night 2022-08-27.
Nine (09) Illegal Shebeens were shut down last night, 6 in Etwatwa and 3 in Vosloorus policing precinct.
20 suspects were arrested for driving the vehicle whilst under the influence of alcohol during a High-density operation in Vosloorus
Other suspects nabbed in the District were arrested for crimes such as possession of stolen goods, Malicious to property, sexual assault, theft, possession and dealing in Drugs, possession of Dagga, assault cases assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, domestic Violence, dealing in explosives equipment without a licence, tempering with essential infrastructure, Possession of fake money, house robbery, illegal immigrants, contravention of Children Act, possession of counterfeit goods, selling liquor without a licence, murder, rape and Fraud fight against Crime.
