A 25 year-old confident plus-size woman Sphiwe Percy Msimanga known as Spijomz was born in Kwa-Thema, but now resides Geluksdal relives the challenges she had while growing up because of her plus size body, Spijomz is a go getter who always dresses up to impress.
We all go through a phase of having a low self-esteem because we meet people who always criticize us, it’s a challenge because we end up losing our self-confidence. Sphiwe was once a victim of cyberbullying, her self-confidence was diminished while she was growing up, because people were passing on negative remarks about her body, but at the age of 18 Spijomz started accepting and loving her body. The beautiful plus-sized woman said: “first thing guys, you must learn to love and accept yourself because if you don’t love yourself it’s a problem, whoever comes to you and says negative things, it severely destroys you for the rest of your life. So we must learn to appreciate ourselves as individuals, because God had a reason why those things were happening to me because lately, I have a high self-esteem beyond measure, and no one can come to me and say something that will crush myself esteem, I make sure that I don’t take those negative remarks. I respect myself and value myself because I know that am beautiful the way I am.” Spijomz didn’t learn how to be confident, it’s something that she has inside her.
There are certain people who want to lose weight and there are those who want to gain weight, Sphiwe only cautiously eats when it’s exercising month beside that she eats anything, anytime, the main point is not to be obese but to maintain her body, Spijomz divulges. Every single woman is uniquely beautiful, and the sexiest thing she can do is to brace her curves, differences, and stand abreast in who she is. Sphiwe will like to encourage the youth who are facing similar situations to be positive in their bodies and sharpen their mind and make sure that they don’t forget that they come first, they must start loving themselves the way that God created them, they must love their bodies, they must appreciate themselves and make sure that they always stand on the mirror with a smile and encourage themselves: “Am beautiful and I love the way I am”. Make sure the name (Sdudla) doesn’t offend you, let the name uplift you (Ntombo) make sure you change that name to isdudla esihle.
