It has been almost two years since the little girl Amahle Thabethe went missing in Tsakane. Thabethe was abducted by an unknown man outside her home in Tsakane, Ekurhuleni, while she was playing with a group of friends. She was 8 years of age at particular time.
Gauteng police commissioner raises concerns over the missing Amahle Thabethe in the operation Okae Molao during the past weekend. The commissioner calls upon the community to assist the police in finding Amahle who went missing in April 2019, as he believes that no child can go missing without anyone seeing something or noticing something at all. Mawela mentions that “I personally believe that somebody somewhere knows where Amahle is and to that particular somebody, we are calling upon them to let their conscience talk to them, come forward and tell us where is Amahle. We are very much concerned about that, we are worried. We also call all the law abiding citizens of this area to be the eyes and ears, and alert the police should you see anything wrong, please report anything out of the ordinary to the police, so that we can act on it. The community must never keep quiet because they will say things are falling apart while they are not saying anything to the police. Should community members face any illegality within their areas they should contact the police.”
