Ramaphosa and ANC’s legacy a picture of decay

President Cyril Ramaphosa’s six-year term leaves a bleak mark of total decay. The nation has declined significantly in almost every aspect. The quality of life for all citizens has greatly worsened, with the ANC’s destructive path evident in daily experiences.

The evidence is undeniable. Independent economic indicators and government crime statistics clearly show the country’s decline under Ramaphosa.

When he took office in 2018, economic growth was at 1.3%. Last year, it dropped to 0.9%, negatively affecting the country and its people.

President Ramaphosa himself acknowledged that 20 years ago, Eskom was among the world’s best power utilities, but the ANC single-handedly destroyed it.

Furthermore, as Deputy President, Ramaphosa led the government’s “war room” to address power issues, but failed miserably.

In 2018, the rand-dollar exchange rate was R11.55. Yesterday, it was R18.92.

Over six years, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) lost 22% against the dollar, while the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 in New York grew by 147% and 75%, respectively.

Unemployment has risen from 24% to 32%, with youth unemployment at a staggering 64%.

President Ramaphosa openly admitted that the ANC is the main culprit in corruption, making him the top accused. Yet, no action is taken.

The ANC’s Secretary-General admitted to covering up corruption, including the Nkandla scandal, without parliamentary oversight or accountability.

The President remains shielded from accountability, with the ANC majority in Parliament protecting him.

South Africa ranks seventh in global organized crime, with the ANC likely being the largest syndicate.

The murder rate has risen from 35 to 45 per 100,000 people, with the President initially denying farm murders.

There’s a clear lack of equality before the law, as seen in political interventions in court cases and selective arrests.

Approximately 10,000 children die of starvation annually while the President spends extravagantly on meals, showing contempt for starving citizens.

The ANC’s destructive legacy, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, will persist long after their departure. It’s time for change.
