Ekurhuleni’s finest lyricist Tsholofelo “Rascoe Kaos” Daka who layed out his ostentatious lyrics on the track ‘Samsokolo’ then later offered the same level of delicacy on Yini Sdakwa and Phuze released another splendid amapiano track dubbed Mndawu with other various artists, recently.
The track speaks about the powerful African water spirit and Rascoe Kaos seized the opportunity to spit about his trials and tribulations in the music industry.
Rascoe Kaos said he has worked with talented artists in the Amapiono song and in the song he wants his fans to know what they go through in the music industry as musicians.
“I want people to know that as musicians we face problems and it is not all glamorous to be in the music industry.
“On the song, we are mainly encouraging people that it is possible for them to achieve their goals. And we incorporated the African water spirit in it because we have heard that the spirit is powerful and it can give people who believe in it power as well,” explained Rascoe Kaos.
Rascoe Kaos mentioned that they choose to speak about the powerful African water spirit because most African people will relate to it.
“The track is motivational and inspirational and it has a good melody in it and I would like to give credit to MalumNator and Moscow on Keys for that, they both ensured the track’s production was good.
“Our vocalist Mashudu gave the track life. You get to understand that the water spirit is powerful from just listening to her exuberant voice that will grab anyone’s attention and I also went in hard on the song, because I knew I was working with if not the best, the greatest artists,” expressed Rascoe Kaos.
He added that he encourages music lovers to listen to the song because they will never be disappointed.
