Seven- year-old girl Lethabo Makola is already gunning for success at a young age. She is a ballet dancer, poet, commercial model and an actress. She is a grade 2 learner from Shangri LA Academy and resides in Kempton Park.
At the age of 5, Lethabo was already showing her interest in drama. So her parents decided to take her to the drama classes from there on her talent grew tremendously. She partook in Eisteddford where she excelled in the Poetry category. At age 6, Lethabo started dancing and in the same year she also started her modelling journey. In such a short period of time, the 7-year-old girl has grown to be a fearless and ambitious young woman who persistently showcases her talents. She competed in an international talent show with people of various ages but the star rose among her competitors with her breathtaking performance. Her exceptional performances stunned judges like Rhavynn Drummer who is a Senior Executive Casting Director for Tyler Perry Studios, Joey Hunter who was the President of Ford Models for the past 30 years and IMTA board member, Aviva Skull who is a Vice President of MMG Model which focuses on discovering Talent and nurtures Celebries, Blaze Johnson from The Voice (America) and last but not least, Nate Butler who is a singer, songwriter, music producer, A&R for America’s Got Talent, X Factor USA and Kids say the Darnest Things America, The Prestigious International Elite Educational Institute and the Film and Academy- Musical theatre, Broadcasting Journalism, filmmaking Acting for Film Programs.
Lethabo mentions how she loves her parents as they allowed her to live her dream and polish her talents at such a young age. “My mom and dad are my role models. My dad makes sure I get everything I want by sending me to best schools and my mom takes me to each and every event as well as castings. They both play an important role in my life and I love them,” added the little star. As young as Lethabo is, she states how she believes in hard work and determination considering how young yet successful she is. With her busy life, she says that she does play with her friends whenever she does not have commitments regarding her career. Out of all her talents, she tells the newspaper that acting has to be her favourite thing to do as it allows her to be herself.
Lethabo received a callback to represent South Africa in front of more than 300 talent and agencies in America. She will be heading to America in July 2021. “I’m a person who loves challenges, however, I see myself as an actress or model in the future,” disclosed Lethabo.
