On Friday 27 January 2023 at 18h20, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Officers, arrested three (3) fleeing male suspects, who are between the ages of 48 and 59, for common robbery.
The EMPD Officers busy with law enforcement, at the corner of Pretoria and Springs, were approached by a hysterical male victim in his late 30s’, claiming that there were three (3), male suspects, in a grey Mazda 2 hatchback and they tried to rob him but, were disturbed by highly visible Officers. Not long after, Officers spotted the Mazda in question and the chase ensued. The suspicious vehicle was cornered at the nearby filling station.
The threesome was positively identified by the prey, before they were searched, with their vehicle. Police uncovered one (1) smartphone, suspected of being robbed in the Limpopo area, by Groblersdal.
All three (3) suspects, facing charges of common robbery, were handcuffed and detained, at the Crystal Park police station. The Grey Mazda 2 used in the commission of a crime, was impounded for safekeeping.
