KEMPTON PARK_On Friday 04 November 2022 at around 15:00 in the afternoon, the members of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) North Task Team, while performing their law enforcement duties in the Chloorkop area, arrested two (2) males for possession of illicit substances with the intent to distribute.
The officers noticed two (2) suspicious male suspects, who were carrying a large black and white bag, at a shopping centre. The members approached the suspects and requested to search the duo.
Upon searching the suspects, the officers found black and white plastic bags full of Dagga, weighing four hundred and eighty-four point zero five (484.05) kilograms, concealed in the large bag. The suspects were immediately arrested.
The two male suspects aged 36 and 37 years old, who were detained at Sebenza police station, will appear at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court facing charges of possession of illicit substances.
