Valentine’s Day at Mall of Thembisa highlights what there is to love about love.
This Valentine’s Day Mall of Thembisa invited couples to upload their favourite pic and caption of how they met to compete for 5 exclusive luxury dates at Imbizo and a selection of other prizes.
The five sets of winners each won a delicious meal at Imbizo, a manicure and pedicure voucher and a carwash voucher from Wash Worx. In addition there were prizes handed out for the best dressed couple, the cutest couple and the best ‘how we met’ submission.
Marriam Mokoena and Tshepo Sekese, the first winning couple, received a R2 000 Sterns voucher.
“We are both happy that we received the voucher, I’m going to buy myself a bracelet and my partner is going to buy himself a timepiece,” said Marriam. “As a couple we strongly believe in love. We have been together for 14 years and our love grows stronger and stronger every day.”
Winners of the ‘cutest couple’ Ralph Dandani and Cathrine Leshilo won a R2 000 Dis-Chem voucher. “We are going to buy necessary things that we need as a couple,” says Catherine. “We are both excited because we were not expecting this. We both enjoyed ourselves so much on the day and people should know that love is a journey.” Partner Ralph said “I even skipped work to be with my darling, I don’t regret a thing. It’s important for people to know that love can be found anywhere in life even in places where you least expect it. We would both like to thank the Mall of Thembisa for the quality time it granted us,” he concluded.
The best dressed couple prize was handed over to Neo Matlala and Mapula Teffo who received a R2 000 shopping spree with Aaron Moloisi. “We feel very honoured to be labelled as the best dressed couple,” says Neo, “that clearly shows that our efforts were recognized. We would like to encourage other couples to prioritise love in their relationships, because that’s the core foundation of a relationship. We would also like to thank the Mall of Thembisa for the phenomenal experience,” she concluded.
