Born and raised in Dawn Park is the 21-year old, Nonhlanhla Dalasile who describes herself as a visionary, hard worker, and she is driven by purpose.
Nonhlanhla is a self-made entrepreneur who believes in giving and is a motivational speaker that empowers the youth. She recently established Miss Graduate South Africa, an initiative that will empower young women across South Africa.
“This platform will break the boundaries of dependency amongst women, the stigma that women are limited as what they can achieve. The initiative will promote self-empowerment amongst young girls,”
“I decided to be the voice of my community and fill the gap in the community by creating more youth empowerment programmes that will help the youth of Dawn Park to stay away from the streets,” said Dalasile.
She further explained that she aims to help young people to further their studies as well as launch their dreams through this platform.
“It is very difficult to be born in a small community like Dawn Park where opportunities are scarce and where 80% of the youth is misled. Young people easily turn to drugs, crime, and teenage pregnancy no one is brave enough to speak about the matter, we turn a blind eye on the important issues that hold us back,” she said.
The young entrepreneur has achieved a lot, under her name she holds the title of Miss Boksburg Face of the year 2019. In 2020 she opened her pageants, Mr and Miss East Rand, Miss Empower South Africa, and Miss Dawn Park.
For Dalisile to continue living her dream, she is looking for sponsors who will be part of her journey and help her through her desires. She believes that by God’s grace her work won’t be in vain.
