Arthur Msibi is not only a Journalism graduate, LLB student, and a broadcast journalist, he is the first-ever crowned Daveyton Mall Ambassador in its history.
He was born and bred in Daveyton and works as the voice for the voiceless at Kasie FM community radio station.
He describes himself as an informer, educator, and entertainer. Msibi is passionate about highlighting real grassroots community issues and he is the mediator of harmony.
“Daveyton issued out the advertisement of the Ambassador search on Facebook and I was tagged by several friends to enter the competition. To be selected as the top 10 finalists, I had to issue a written motivation of why I deserve to be crowned the Mall’s Ambassador,” said Msibi.
It is his written motivation letter that got him to be one of the Top 10 finalists and the votes done by the public from different metros that placed him number one. Becoming an ambassador, gave him the feeling that his legacy is the next generation of dreamers that may be inspired by his dream.
“Daveyton Mall has never had an ambassador since its establishment in 1993. Therefore, being crowned the Daveyton Mall ambassador is going to offer him the opportunity of continuing the legacy of community development that the mall has cemented through its initiatives aimed at helping society.
“Depression and suicide are a pandemic in our communities and this title will offer me a lifetime opportunity to restore confidence, hope, and dignity to my fellow brothers and sisters in partnership with the Mall,” added Arthur.
