Tshepang Mpinga known as InQfive was born in Daveyton but raised in Johannesburg. InQfive is a producer and DJ based in the Eastrand, Windmill Park, his journey started in 2007.
InQfive shared with Ekurhuleni News stating that “I used to tune into the radio till late, listening to my favourite shows & artists. One day I decided to start recording my favourite shows on old cassette tapes while they were aired on the radio & I think that’s how I got to understand the music concept.
In 2013 I began using my brother’s computer while he was at work, during that time I taught myself how to create beats using a demo version of FL studio and that’s where everything started. I came up with ideas every day until I released my own project in 2015 which I’m not proud of, but that never stopped me from being a better producer.”
Through his journey, InQfive has met some amazing artists and the first artist he produced for was Fistaz Mixwell on a song where he featured Jackie Queens in 2019.
Recently InQfive worked on a project with Kwesta for his Latest Album G.O.D Guluva, on the song titled ‘Nthabiseng’ and he said it was a different experience for him because he was given a chance to dive into a different genre.
He says it was an amazing experience to produce for Kwesta because he is one of the artists that he looks up to, because of what he has accomplished in the music industry. “My greatest achievement so far has to be the two songs I produced with DjDulaz from Durban, we have launched the first project that we did together in 2019, we have had a chance to go to Durban and shoot a music video with Pilot films the following year in 2020.
We have also worked on a project together featuring Lizwi and we also shot a music video, I had a chance to be featured on Channel O several times. Lastly but not least my best achievement was to open my own music label, I’ve worked with EchoDeep,Thab De Soul, Demented Soul just to name a few on the label. At the moment I’m working on several projects but you can expect an ‘album’ on June 11, it is a Deep house and Soulful album that will be released by my own record label (InQfive Music) and I have already dispensed new songs under my label. My plan or my wish is to grow as an artist and as a label. I’d like to release great music moving forward, I would like to grow as an artist and travel the world spreading the love of music,” InQfive explains.
InQfive encourages young and old people to follow their dreams. To shun anyone who tries to derail them from pursing them. “Anything is possible out there you just need to be dedicated because I believe there’s no limit in this world, never stop believing in yourself because that’s the most important thing,” he concluded.
