The Daveyton resident, Lerato Modikwane is appealing to the community at large to vote for her for the Black Entertainment Awards under the category of the best brand.
Modikwane is a self-made fashion designer and the founder of Fashion Predictor, she is determined to make it in the fashion industry.
“The community has seen me serving my purpose, and to enable me to continue serving and doing it beyond, I need them to walk with me through this journey by simply casting their votes,” said Modikwane.
The CEO told Ekurhuleni News that for her to be nominated means the world to her. It shows that her work is being recognised and she would love to give thanks to God for the tremendous grace that has been given to her.
She describes herself as a box filled with many tools, as she specialises in fashion design, she is a wardrobe stylist, make-up artist, hairstylist, fabric advisor and interior designer.
As a valuable member of the community, Modikwane has hosted women empowerment events to encourage other women that they are valid and they can do anything within their power.
“The talks that I have with other women are aimed to inspire, teach and instil confidence in one another to be a better version of ourselves,” she added.
The self-taught fashion designer has been featured in many media houses, she received the certificate for the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme with JA South Africa and also she once had an opportunity to dress Miss Africa 2019/2020 finalist. Her company was launched in July 2019.
