Thembelihle Mazula, who goes by the name of Marcia Paris on stage, is a performer, vocalist, and an award nominee from Daveyton.
Marcia Paris started singing from the age of 12, in primary school and church. In 2014 she decided to go to the studio and release her music which led to her being discovered.
“In 2015 I was discovered at Kalawa Jazmee and I have been performing at Spikiri’s gigs from 2015 till 2018”.
In 2018 Marcia Paris was nominated for the LYD Awards in Durban. She then decided to take a break for 2 years and made her come back in 2021.
She is now nominated at the Mzansi Kwaito & House Music Awards as the best new house artist and the Tswina awards as the artist of the year.
The song that got her nominated twice is “Kholo_lwam by Marcia Paris feat Bless M”, this song is available on Audio Mack and Spotify.
Early this year she won a female competition against four ladies.
“Early this year, I won in a females competition against four ladies and I took a song titled “Umuntu wakho”.
Marcia Paris says she is currently working on a project with beat makers from Swaziland and the songs will be released soon. She also stated that she sees herself working with big and legendary musicians in the industry.
“As a vibrant and energetic artist, I see myself working with well-known artists in the music industry and also being a winner of the newcomer of the year in SAMAs and other bigger awards”.
This vocalist does not only plan on growing herself and her talent but she also nurtures the talent of young stars.
“My plan in the future is to also open my label so that I can help young stars who believe that they can do it in this industry cause I couldn’t get help easily myself but I have to make a plan on helping talented kids,” she concluded.
